My Experience

I have been practicing law in California for over 30 years, all focused on litigation of all kinds of claims. With an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology, I have always been interested in the persons involved in my claims and why some claims resolve easily and other do not. I started mediating and arbitrating cases through the Los Angeles Courts, being a part of multiple panels at various branches of the court. I was invited to be a part of the Voluntary Settlement Conference programs and various CRASH events since 2001. I added formal mediation training in 2011 at the Straus Institute at Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California.

I have handled, as a participating attorney, almost every type of personal injury and property damage claim, from automobile, bus and truck accidents, to malpractice, and toxic tort claims. I have tried cases to verdict before juries and judges in California and Nevada.

In addition, I have been asked for second opinions on case, both during the pre-trial litigation and during trial.

Finally, I have tried to understand the people involved in a claim and during resolution hearings, what is being said by them and what is not being said. I always try to make sure the litigants, whether represented or in pro per, whether insured or not, who attend any hearing have a part and a voice in the process. As the former Administrative Partner for Selman Breitman LLP, I was responsible for many of the interactions of the associate attorneys with staff and partners, as well as between partners on many issues. This required my use of the training and experience from years of cases, non-lawyer employment and parenting. I believe these skills and knowledge work well in my resolution practice.
